Our Achievements

The Representative Team of Moscow Ice Hockey Federation became a Champion of the first ever Ak Bars Ice Hockey Academy Cup. In the final match the Moscow Team beat the Representative Team of the Academy by six goals to two.

The home team managed to outwork the Representative Team of Moscow at the group stage (3:2) and to blast Piraty of Riga.

The trainees of the Academy showed a good hockey in the final match of the tournament, but they did not manage to succeed again.

It bears reminding that 10 Teams from Russia, Belarus, Latvia and Kazakhstan took part in the Academy Cup Tournament. The tournament took place on the 25th-29th of December of 2017. During the first three days the teams took their places at the group stage, and during the following two days, having secured their places in the tournament table, they competed for the main trophy – Ak Bars Ice Hockey Academy Cup. The Representative Team of the Academy consists of two lines of Ak Bars Specialized Sports School of Olympic Reserve for Children and Youth and two lines of Neftyanik Sports School for Children and Youth.

Evgeny Rychkov, the Director of Ak Bars Ice Hockey Academy, says:

– Мы довольны турниром, он прошёл на очень высоком организационном и соревновательном уровне. Я считаю, что первый «Кубок Академии хоккея Ак Барс» удался, и мы будем продолжать организовывать такие турниры.

"We remained satisfied with the Tournament, as far as its organization and competition itself are concerned. I think that the first Ak Bars Ice Hockey Academy Cup was successful, and we will continue to organize such tournaments. Our team performed well in the Cup. We beat the Representative Team of Moscow by three goals to two at the group stage. More often than not, it's hard to psych up for the second march with the same opponent, especially for children. In truth, the Representative Team of Moscow is a very strong team that beat TsSKA in the semi-final by four goals to one.
