Anti-Drug Support

The problem of drug addiction among adolescents has not lost its relevance for many years. Despite the fact that regular hockey classes in sports schools significantly reduce the risk of addiction in adolescents, this does not fully guarantee that the young hockey player will never try the drug. The life of a sportsman is not limited to hockey, there are many factors that encourage drug abuse.

Experts identify a number of reasons that encourage adolescents to try narcotic drugs:

  • curiosity, desire to experience new sensations;

  • bad example of friends and acquaintances;

  • the desire to get pleasure;

  • persuading of friends and relatives to take drugs;

  • desire to suppress pain, mental trauma.

These reasons are relevant for all young people, but sportsmen may have an additional motive - taking narcotic stimulants to achieve sports results.

All narcotic drugs are recognized as doping and included in the banned list, since one of the criteria for the inclusion of a substance or method in this list is the possible formation of drug addiction. The use of any drug is contrary to the spirit of the sport.
