Our Achievements
The core team were trainees of Neftyanik Sports School for Children and Youth of 2005 Birth Year. Before going to Canada they won the Volga Region Competition and took the Second Place in the Nationwide Future League Tournament in Saint Petersburg. Besides, there were 4 trainees of Ak Bars Specialized Sports School of Olympic Reserve for Children and Youth who were selected directly by Vladislav Babanov, the Head Coach of the Team, before their trip to Canada.
Along with Tatarstan Team the USA and Canada Clubs took part in the Championship as well. Our trainees got in one group with three Quebec Teams: Black Wolves, Phoenix Estrie and Les Chevaliers.
The Academy Representative Team did not lose any match and let in only one goal during five games. In the semi-final our hockey players beat Officers (8:0) of Canada and in final – Flames of the United States (10:0).
Children will come back to Russia on the 12th of June. A number of exhibition games with Canadian teams are scheduled.
